The new miracle skincare? The face serum line that has been awarded a patent for preventing cancer by repairing DNA!manager
A line of face serums has been awarded a U.S. patent for its ability to prevent skin cancer and treat scars and lesions by repairing DNA.
Osmosis Pur Medical Skincare’s Catalyst, Catalyst Plus, and Catalyst AC-11 formulas received the patent for a formula which use zinc and amino acids to help treat skin.
The products, which are usually priced between $90 and $100 (get them cheaper here on Vanity Pal), ‘improve scarring, skin tags, actinic keratosis and other skin disturbances that relate to DNA damage,’ according to a press release.
It explains that the serums repair damaged DNA by speeding up the production of proteins and antioxidants, which rejuvenate skin cells from inside-out.
Osmosis claims that its formulas can also lighten hyperpigmentation, reduce visible capillaries, and stimulate collagen production.
It also ‘prevents UV damage to the skin better than any sunscreen,’ according to the company, with a UV-repelling formula that equates to the strength of an SPF 14.
The first of the three formulas, Catalyst, was released in 2011. Catalyst Plus was launched the following year with the addition of stabilized Vitamin C, which is useful for sensitive skin.
The last product in the line, Catalyst AC-11, was issued in 2013. It boasts an additional 50per cent more active additives than the original two products.
Osmosis is sold in specialty retailers and spas nation-wide. Its varied products, which range from moisturizers to cleansers, collectively hold more than 15 patent-pending formulas.
The brand was founded in 2007 by Dr Ben Johnson, a Colorado-based physician who also spends his time writing skincare books and speaking at medical forums across the U.S.
